OSHA Requirements
Per OSHA standards, full certification for HAZWOPER 40-Hour training includes:
40 hours of initial training (provided in this online course)
8 hours of hands-on training (must be completed separately with a qualified instructor)
3 days of field experience under the supervision of a trained, experienced professional (arranged by the employer)
This course fulfills the online portion of the 40-hour requirement. Employers are responsible for arranging the remaining hands-on and field training components.
