About This Course

This 16-Hour EM 385-1-1 training course is designed for contractors and employees working on military or federally funded projects that must comply with the updated 2024 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1 safety manual. It is essential training for non-supervisory personnel working on job sites that follow these standards.

Beginning March 15, 2024, all military and contract personnel on projects awarded after this date must complete this updated training—even if they recently took the previous version.

This course clarifies how EM 385-1-1 requirements differ from OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 regulations and what additional safety steps are required. The goal is to help participants understand how to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Not adhering to EM 385 rules can lead to costly job site violations, making proper training critical for every team member.
